Donations doubled from today

Your donations will help girls like Maureen, 15. She had been forced to marry a much older man before her 13th birthday. He died leaving her and her young baby with no means of survival.

“Catch up school has given me hope. The teachers make us feel we are worth something, we all have something to give. We have found friendship here and we [girls] all support each other”

"Before the Awamu project, I was not used to studying, or taking part in school activities. Now I study every day." Maureen explains.

"I want to be an example for the project and help other girls who are in the same situation to me. I want to tell them no matter how low you feel, you can get back up again. I now see a bright future.”

Your support through our Big Give appeal will help provide a safe space for girls in the slums of Kampala. Helping them to learn, restoring hope and giving them the courage to rebuild their lives.
