Your impact in action: Grace's journey of transformation
I want share a remarkable story of resilience and transformation with you – Grace's journey with Awamu.
Over the past decade, Awamu has been deeply committed to collaborating with local communities in Kampala, actively listening to their needs and workinghand-in-hand to create sustainable change. Grace's story is a testament to the power of your support.
“Awamu changed my life. I struggled after losing my husband and child. Floods would enter our home again and again and I'd lost hope. But Awamu gave me skills – farming mushrooms and making soap - empowering me to earn and connect with other women. They believed in and supported me to become a Trainer, I've now taught over 10,000 women and youth.
“It is important to repay the kindness I received, so I became a Community Volunteer. I opened my home to orphaned children, creating a large and loving family. Despite the struggles we faced, Awamu supported us, helping rebuild our lives. Now we have a safe home, all my children are in school, and I advocate for those living with HIV. I’m grateful for everything. I hope I am valued assest to my comunity"
Your continued support has been instrumental in enabling stories like Grace's to unfold.
Together, we're not just changing lives – we're creating futures filled with hope and opportunity. Thank you.
