Together 2023 postponed to 2-4 August 2024
Today we’ve had to make the very tough decision to postpone Together 2023 until next year.
After the run-away success of last year we were full steam ahead for this summer! But ticket sales have been too slow. Even with our emergency appeals this last week - all that that good energy & love behind us - we’ve not been able to hit target.
Thank you for all your efforts recommending, sharing and spreading the word. It was a very lovely show of support, that we really appreciate. We're sorry to have to let you down.
This is not a decision we take lightly. It means a massive loss to our small charity. Together keeps vulnerable children in the slums of Kampala safe and in school.
We'd been hoping to raise around £20,000 for our work as usual from the event. But if we go ahead with numbers down we don’t just risk not raising the funds but will lose hard won and vital funds.
We’ve come to the idea that Together will be every two years. Roll on 2-4 August 2024!
So what next?
If you still want to do something special that weekend? ♥️ Friends of Together are scheming to organise alternative entertainment for the weekend, helping us to raise funds for Awamu. If you are at all interested please keep the Together weekend free (28-30 July 2023). Send us a PM to let us know you’d like to know more and we’ll let you know ASAP what the plan is.
Can I keep my ticket and use it next year? ♥️ Yes you can! You can carry them over to Together 2024 (2-4 Aug 2024). For those who are happy to support us in this way send us a PM to confirm.
Can I donate the cost of my ticket/s or part of the cost of my ticket/s to help vulnerable children children in school? ♥️ Yes, you can! please send us a PM with instructions on what you would like us to do - full or partial - roll over, refund or donate.
Can I get a refund? ♥️ Of course, to get a refund on your ticket/s and lux camping you don't need to do anything. If we don't hear from you about the above you will be refunded within 30 days.
Lots of love and thanks for your support, contributions and effort to try and make it happen this year.
This is not good bye but tujja kulabagana nate (‘we will see each other again’ in l’uganda).
