Today in Kampala
We've been busy, busy bees in Kampala today....
Robina making brilliant shoppers and dresses...
Florence steaming through the bags and cushion covers...
Sarah Kabenge seamstress extraordinaire...
Sarah's baby Jackson, 6 months, napping anongst the dresses whilst his mum works.
Sarah lost both her parents to HIV when she was 14, she had been caring from them since she was 12. She was supported by Nulu and the women at Mawda where she was also trained in tailoring skills. Now she makes beautiful dresses for us and tutors other women in the group how to sew and knit.
More photos of what we have been up to today here.
I'm so proud of what we have been doing and can't wait the show you everything....very soon!
With love from Kampala
