“People like Nabunya are hard to come by. She is a visionary.”
Exciting news! To mark International Women's Day on the March 8th, The New Vision newspaper in Uganda holds an annual Women Achiever's Award. This award is meant to recognise the efforts of women doing extraordinary things to change the lives of people within their community.
This year our very own Nulu Nabunya – executive director of Makerere Women's Development Association (MAWDA) and member of the General Assembly of ActionAid Uganda - is up for an award for an award. New vision nominated her organisation as 'doing its best to save the lives of mothers and babies.'
