Christmas in the slums of Kampala
Could you donate £5.61 to give children like Dianne & her friends a special treat this Christmas? For the vulnerable children awamu works with Christmas is like any other time of the year - they wake up facing the same challenges they face everyday of their lives and without even a decent hot meal to look forward to.
For the last few years we've held a meeting for the children in December. Its a time for them to get together and talk about the issues they face, we serve cake and fizzy pop as a bit of a treat but this year we want to go a step further...
This year we want music, dancing, games and cake, a decent hot meal and a small gift to make them feel special.
We work with 89 children and we think we can lay all this on for £500 - that is just £5.61 per child.
Can you spare £5.61 (or more if you can afford it!) to give Dianne and her friends a chance to play, dance. eat a decent meal and feel special this festive season?
Gwan, gwan, gwan - in return for your gift we'll send you a special message from Kampala so you can be part of the fun too.
